AI Automation Engineer (Chatbots & Workflows)

• Design and build business automations that remove repetitive work for clients - quote generation, lead routing, invoice processing, report delivery, ticket triage.
• Build conversational assistants for websites, WhatsApp, Messenger and internal help desks, grounded in the client's own content.
• Work with automation platforms (n8n, Make, Zapier) and write custom code nodes when the platform runs out of road.
• Integrate CRMs, ERPs, spreadsheets, mail, payment and messaging APIs into reliable end-to-end flows.
• Design for failure: retries, idempotency, alerting and a manual override a human can actually use.
• Document each automation clearly and hand it over so the client is not permanently dependent on us.
• Measure the time or cost each automation saves and report it.

• Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering or a related field, or demonstrable equivalent skill.

• 1 to 4 years building integrations, automations or chatbots.
• Comfortable with REST APIs, webhooks, JSON, authentication flows and rate limits.
• JavaScript or Python scripting ability.
• Practical experience with LLM APIs and prompt design for a production use case.

• Show us something you automated - for a client, an employer or yourself.
• You look for the boring bottleneck rather than the impressive demo.
• WhatsApp Business API or CRM platform experience is a plus.

Negotiable - based on your skills, experience and the practical assessment. We pay at Kathmandu market rate and review salaries at six months for strong performers.
