Data Analyst

  • Baniyatar Height 3, Tokha, Kathmandu - Hybrid (2 days remote)
  • Full-time
  • 1 to 4 year(s)
  • 1 opening
  • Apply by 30th November, 2026
Takes about 3 minutes. Have your CV ready as a PDF.
Job Responsibilities
  • Build dashboards and reports that answer the question a client actually asked, in Power BI, Looker Studio or Metabase.
  • Write SQL against client databases and warehouses to extract, clean and join data reliably.
  • Analyse marketing, e-commerce, operations and support data to find where money is being made and lost.
  • Set up tracking and data collection correctly at the source - most bad analysis starts as bad instrumentation.
  • Present findings to non-technical stakeholders with a clear recommendation, not just a chart.
  • Automate recurring reports so nobody rebuilds the same spreadsheet every month.
  • Maintain data quality checks and flag anomalies before they reach a client report.
Educational Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, BIM/BBA or a related field.
Experience Requirements
  • 1 to 4 years in an analytics or reporting role.
  • Strong SQL - joins, window functions, aggregation, and the judgement to know what to exclude.
  • Advanced spreadsheet skills; Python or R for analysis is a significant plus.
  • Experience with GA4, e-commerce data or CRM data is valued.
Additional Requirements
  • You are honest about uncertainty and never dress up a weak sample as a finding.
  • Clear data visualisation instincts - you know when a table beats a chart.
  • Good written English for reports and client documentation.
Salary

Negotiable - based on your skills, experience and the practical assessment. We pay at Kathmandu market rate and review salaries at six months for strong performers.

Compensation & Other Benefits
  • Competitive salary reviewed annually, plus performance-based increments
  • Festival bonus (Dashain/Tihar) and leave encashment as per company policy
  • Provident fund, gratuity and insurance in line with the Nepal Labour Act
  • Five-day working week with flexible start hours; hybrid options for eligible roles
  • Paid annual leave, sick leave and all gazetted public holidays
  • Company-funded certifications, courses and conference passes
  • Modern hardware, licensed tools and a quiet, well-equipped office in Tokha
  • A clear career track with six-monthly reviews - we promote from within first
Read Before Apply

Please apply only if you meet the core requirements listed above.

Attach an updated CV in PDF format and, where relevant, links to your portfolio, GitHub, Behance, Dribbble or live projects - applications for design and engineering roles without work samples are difficult to assess.

Shortlisted candidates are contacted within seven working days for a short introductory call, followed by a practical task (paid for senior roles) and a final interview with the team lead. Sambara Technologies never charges a fee at any stage of hiring and will never ask for payment for training, equipment or placement.
