  • Full-time

  • Apply by 30th November, 2026
Takes about 3 minutes. Have your CV ready as a PDF.
Job Responsibilities
  • Design and build APIs and backend services that other teams and client systems depend on.
  • Model and tune relational data; write migrations that run safely against live production data.
  • Build integrations with third-party platforms - payment gateways, ERPs, logistics, government portals and messaging providers.
  • Implement authentication, authorisation, rate limiting, queues, caching and background jobs correctly.
  • Write automated tests for the parts of the system where failure costs money.
  • Monitor, log and instrument services so problems are visible before a client reports them.
  • Document endpoints and data contracts so the front-end team is never guessing.
Educational Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field.
Experience Requirements
  • 2 to 5 years of backend development in Node.js (Express/NestJS) and/or PHP (Laravel).
  • Strong SQL - you can read an EXPLAIN plan and fix a slow query.
  • Experience with Redis, message queues and scheduled workers in production.
  • Familiarity with Linux, Nginx, environment configuration and deployment pipelines.
  • API security experience: JWT/session handling, input validation, OWASP Top 10 awareness.
Additional Requirements
  • You write boring, predictable code in the places that matter.
  • You think about failure modes: timeouts, retries, partial writes, duplicate webhooks.
  • TypeScript and Docker experience are both advantages.
Salary

Negotiable - senior band, based on demonstrated ownership and delivery record. Reviewed at six months, with a performance bonus tied to project delivery.

Compensation & Other Benefits
  • Competitive salary reviewed annually, plus performance-based increments
  • Festival bonus (Dashain/Tihar) and leave encashment as per company policy
  • Provident fund, gratuity and insurance in line with the Nepal Labour Act
  • Five-day working week with flexible start hours; hybrid options for eligible roles
  • Paid annual leave, sick leave and all gazetted public holidays
  • Company-funded certifications, courses and conference passes
  • Modern hardware, licensed tools and a quiet, well-equipped office in Tokha
  • A clear career track with six-monthly reviews - we promote from within first
