Job Responsibilities
  • Build and maintain Python backend services, internal tools and data pipelines for client and in-house products.
  • Develop APIs with Django REST Framework or FastAPI, complete with validation, auth and documentation.
  • Write scrapers, ETL jobs and scheduled tasks that run unattended and fail loudly when they should.
  • Work alongside the AI team to put models and automations behind reliable, monitored endpoints.
  • Write unit and integration tests; keep the test suite fast enough that people actually run it.
  • Containerise and deploy services; participate in code review and technical planning.
Educational Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics or a related field.
Experience Requirements
  • 2 to 4 years writing production Python.
  • Solid Django or FastAPI experience with a real deployed system behind it.
  • Comfortable with PostgreSQL/MySQL, Celery or similar task queues, and Redis.
  • Git, Docker and Linux command line fluency.
Additional Requirements
  • Experience with pandas, data processing or ML tooling is a strong advantage.
  • You write clear docstrings and readable functions; clever one-liners are not a personality.
  • Open-source contributions are welcome evidence.
Salary

Negotiable - based on your skills, experience and the practical assessment. We pay at Kathmandu market rate and review salaries at six months for strong performers.
