Technical Lead - Software Delivery

• Lead a small team of developers through the full delivery cycle: scoping, architecture, build, review, release and support.
• Own technical decisions on client projects and be able to explain the trade-offs to both engineers and non-technical stakeholders.
• Set and enforce engineering standards: code review, branching, testing, documentation and security practices.
• Break large requirements into estimable work, then protect the estimate from scope creep.
• Mentor mid-level and junior developers; run one-to-ones and give feedback that actually helps people improve.
• Stay hands-on - you should be writing code for a meaningful part of your week.
• Work with the project manager and client on risk, dependencies and honest delivery dates.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field. Master's is a plus but not required.

• At least 5 years of professional software development, with 1 to 2 years leading or mentoring others.
• Deep expertise in at least one modern stack (Laravel/PHP, Node.js, or Python) plus a working knowledge of others.
• Track record of delivering multiple projects end to end, including at least one you inherited in bad shape.
• Architecture experience: system design, database design, API design, caching and scaling decisions.
• Experience with CI/CD, cloud infrastructure and production incident response.

• You give clear direction without micromanaging, and you take responsibility when a release goes wrong.
• You can say "this will take longer than the client wants" to the client, kindly and with evidence.
• Excellent English communication, spoken and written.

Negotiable - senior band, based on demonstrated ownership and delivery record. Reviewed at six months, with a performance bonus tied to project delivery.
