UI/UX Designer

Web Design & Creative

UI/UX Designer

  • Baniyatar Height 3, Tokha, Kathmandu - Hybrid (2 days remote)
  • Full-time
  • 2 to 4 year(s)
  • 2 openings
  • Apply by 30th November, 2026
Takes about 3 minutes. Have your CV ready as a PDF.
Job Responsibilities
  • Design websites, dashboards and mobile app interfaces in Figma, from wireframe through to a developer-ready design system.
  • Run discovery: understand the client's customer, the task they are trying to finish, and where the current experience loses them.
  • Build and maintain reusable component libraries, type scales, colour tokens and spacing systems.
  • Produce interactive prototypes for client review and usability testing.
  • Design for accessibility and for real content - long Nepali strings, missing images, empty states, error states.
  • Sit with developers during build and answer questions quickly rather than throwing files over a wall.
  • Contribute to conversion rate optimisation work: heatmap review, funnel analysis and design iterations.
Educational Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Design, Fine Arts, Computer Science, HCI or a related field.
  • Self-taught designers with an exceptional portfolio are welcome.
Experience Requirements
  • 2 to 4 years of product or web design experience with shipped work.
  • A portfolio showing your process - not just final screens. We want to see the problem, the options and why you chose one.
  • Expert-level Figma, including components, variants, auto layout and design tokens.
  • Understanding of front-end constraints; basic HTML/CSS literacy is a strong plus.
Additional Requirements
  • A portfolio link is mandatory for this role. Applications without one will not be reviewed.
  • You can defend a design decision with reasoning, and change it when the reasoning is beaten.
  • Motion design or illustration skills are a bonus.
Salary

Negotiable - based on your skills, experience and the practical assessment. We pay at Kathmandu market rate and review salaries at six months for strong performers.

Compensation & Other Benefits
  • Competitive salary reviewed annually, plus performance-based increments
  • Festival bonus (Dashain/Tihar) and leave encashment as per company policy
  • Provident fund, gratuity and insurance in line with the Nepal Labour Act
  • Five-day working week with flexible start hours; hybrid options for eligible roles
  • Paid annual leave, sick leave and all gazetted public holidays
  • Company-funded certifications, courses and conference passes
  • Modern hardware, licensed tools and a quiet, well-equipped office in Tokha
  • A clear career track with six-monthly reviews - we promote from within first
Read Before Apply

Please apply only if you meet the core requirements listed above.

Attach an updated CV in PDF format and, where relevant, links to your portfolio, GitHub, Behance, Dribbble or live projects - applications for design and engineering roles without work samples are difficult to assess.

Sambara Technologies never charges a fee at any stage of hiring and will never ask for payment for training, equipment or placement.
