Content Writer & Copywriter

  • Kathmandu, Nepal - Hybrid, remote-friendly within Nepal
  • Full-time
  • 1 to 3 year(s)
  • 2 openings
  • Apply by 31st October, 2026
Takes about 3 minutes. Have your CV ready as a PDF.
Job Responsibilities
  • Write SEO-driven blog articles, service pages, case studies and knowledge base content for client websites and for Sambara itself.
  • Write conversion copy: landing pages, ad copy, email sequences, sales one-pagers and proposal sections.
  • Research properly - interview subject matter experts internally, read the primary source, and never publish something you cannot support.
  • Work from SEO briefs: target keyword, search intent, required subtopics, internal links and word count.
  • Edit and proofread work from junior writers and interns.
  • Adapt tone across very different clients - a hospital, a hardware importer and a fintech should not sound alike.
  • Use AI tools as a drafting assistant where useful, then fact-check and rewrite so the published piece is genuinely yours.
Educational Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Mass Communication, Marketing or a related field.
  • Writers from technical or scientific backgrounds are especially welcome.
Experience Requirements
  • 1 to 3 years writing professionally for the web.
  • A portfolio of at least five published pieces with your name or a verifiable client reference.
  • Working understanding of SEO fundamentals: keywords, headings, internal links, search intent.
  • Comfortable in WordPress and Google Docs; familiarity with Surfer, Clearscope or similar is a plus.
Additional Requirements
  • Excellent English grammar and a natural, non-robotic voice.
  • Nepali writing ability is a strong advantage for local campaigns.
  • You take editorial feedback without ego and hit deadlines without chasing.
Salary

Negotiable - based on your skills, experience and the practical assessment. We pay at Kathmandu market rate and review salaries at six months for strong performers.

Compensation & Other Benefits
  • Competitive salary reviewed annually, plus performance-based increments
  • Festival bonus (Dashain/Tihar) and leave encashment as per company policy
  • Provident fund, gratuity and insurance in line with the Nepal Labour Act
  • Five-day working week with flexible start hours; hybrid options for eligible roles
  • Paid annual leave, sick leave and all gazetted public holidays
  • Company-funded certifications, courses and conference passes
  • Modern hardware, licensed tools and a quiet, well-equipped office in Tokha
  • A clear career track with six-monthly reviews - we promote from within first
Read Before Apply

Please apply only if you meet the core requirements listed above.

Attach an updated CV in PDF format and, where relevant, links to your portfolio, GitHub, Behance, Dribbble or live projects - applications for design and engineering roles without work samples are difficult to assess.

Shortlisted candidates are contacted within seven working days for a short introductory call, followed by a practical task (paid for senior roles) and a final interview with the team lead. Sambara Technologies never charges a fee at any stage of hiring and will never ask for payment for training, equipment or placement.
