Job Responsibilities
  • Be the first response for client IT issues by phone, email, remote session and on-site visit.
  • Diagnose and resolve desktop, laptop, printer, email, Wi-Fi and application problems within agreed SLA times.
  • Set up and hand over new user machines: imaging, domain join, Microsoft 365 accounts, antivirus and backup agents.
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, mailboxes and shared drives across Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace.
  • Log every ticket properly - a fix that is not documented did not happen.
  • Escalate to L3, network or server specialists with a clear summary of what you have already tried.
  • Carry out preventive maintenance visits under AMC contracts and report on asset health.
  • Teach users patiently, including the ones who ask the same question every month.
Educational Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or diploma in IT, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related field.
  • CompTIA A+, Microsoft or Google Workspace certifications are an advantage.
Experience Requirements
  • 1 to 3 years in an IT support, service desk or managed services role.
  • Strong Windows 10/11 troubleshooting; macOS and Linux desktop exposure is a plus.
  • Practical knowledge of Microsoft 365 administration, Active Directory and basic networking.
  • Experience with a ticketing system and working to SLAs.
Additional Requirements
  • Two-wheeler licence and own vehicle required - client visits across Kathmandu Valley are part of the role (fuel reimbursed).
  • Calm, courteous manner with frustrated users; you are often the only face of Sambara a client sees.
  • Willing to join an on-call rota for critical client incidents (compensated).
Salary

Negotiable - based on your skills, experience and the practical assessment. We pay at Kathmandu market rate and review salaries at six months for strong performers.
