Job Responsibilities
  • Design, install and maintain LAN, WAN and Wi-Fi networks for offices, retail chains, schools and hospitality clients.
  • Configure switches, routers, firewalls and access points (Cisco, MikroTik, Ubiquiti, Fortinet, TP-Link Omada).
  • Implement VLANs, routing, VPNs, QoS, guest isolation and bandwidth management.
  • Run site surveys and produce heat maps before an installation, not after the complaints.
  • Troubleshoot connectivity, latency and packet loss issues to root cause and coordinate with ISPs when the fault is upstream.
  • Maintain accurate network documentation: topology diagrams, IP schemes, credentials in the password vault, change logs.
  • Support structured cabling projects and supervise cabling technicians on site.
Educational Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or diploma in Computer Engineering, IT, Electronics or a related field.
  • CCNA is strongly preferred; MTCNA, CCNP or Fortinet NSE certification is a significant plus.
Experience Requirements
  • 2 to 5 years of hands-on network deployment and support.
  • Solid grasp of TCP/IP, subnetting, routing protocols, NAT and DNS - not just the theory.
  • Firewall configuration and VPN setup experience.
  • Comfortable working at height, in server rooms and inside ceiling trays when a job requires it.
Additional Requirements
  • Two-wheeler licence and own vehicle required; travel outside the Valley occasionally, with allowance.
  • You label cables. Every time.
  • Experience with ISP-side or enterprise-scale networks is welcome.
Salary

Negotiable - based on your skills, experience and the practical assessment. We pay at Kathmandu market rate and review salaries at six months for strong performers.
